Beirut-Style Lebanese Dining Is Coming to The Rocks

Eat / 27 January 2026

A new chapter opens in The Rocks this February as Beirut-style Lebanese dining arrives with the opening of Sahtein.

Rooted in everyday culinary traditions from Beirut, the restaurant champions generous flavours, charcoal-fired cooking and a warm, welcoming approach that feels effortless and familiar.

Taking over the former home of The Dining Room at The Collective, Sahtein brings a thoughtful refresh to the historic space. The menu draws directly from Beirut tables, favouring bold flavours and share-style plates designed for relaxed, communal dining.

Executive Chef Mike Flood leads the kitchen, serving hot and cold mezze alongside grilled meats and seafood cooked over woodfire and charcoal. Dishes arrive as they’re ready, encouraging a laid-back dining experience made for lingering and easy return visits.
