Welcome To Darlinghurst Bar Nina

Bars, Drink, Sydney / 3 May 2021

There’s a new kid on the Stanley St Block offering top-notch wines and Mediterranean share plates.

As if Darlinghurst needed another bar, Bar Nina has opened its doors on the iconic corner of Crown and Stanley street. Run by the team behind Arm’s Length (Surry Hills & Redfern) including Rebecca O’Shea (formerly Rockpool Dining Group ) and Executive Chef Jeffrey Sue, the hospo crew couldn’t pass up the opportunity to bring Sydneysiders another exceptional drinking and dining experience in the heart of the city.
Expect the neighbourhood vibes they’re so well known for at Arm’s Length, cemented by energetic and friendly service. The interior is welcoming with hues of orange and pink, light wood furnishings and sun windows. For those who want to catch the afternoon light, there are outdoor tables with a Parisienne feel that are ideal for people-watching and sipping the afternoon away.

The menu is designed to be shared with a stellar mix of smaller bites, house-made pasta and more substantial options for the big eaters. Burrata fans, get excited about the Vanella Burrata with beetroot pistachio and picked fennel at $19. Head Chef Luke Davenport (formerly The Ledbury Notting Hill) is also hand-making pasta daily with a standout being the Fettucine with slow-cooked Duck Ragu, and the perfect light Bianco sauce at $28. And vegans and vegos won’t miss out on the fun with King Oyster Mushroom Caponata. It wouldn’t be a Mediterranean-inspired menu without the classic Tiramisu, super fluff with hits of Little Marionette coffee at $16. To complement the dishes, Rhys Bailey is serving up classic cocktails around the $20 mark, and a mix of funky Australian wines and European classics.

Bar Nina is opened from 8am daily, serving up a quality brew and a selection of pastries available until sold out. The full menu starts at 12pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends, continuing until late.

Happy hour is sorted from 4-6pm every day with $7 Pirate Life tap beers, $7 house wines, $10 margaritas, and $10 Aperols. They’re also serving up a bottomless brunch every Saturday and Sunday featuring a shared set menu with a 2hr beverage package of house wines and tap beers at $79.
