SurfnPlay Aqua Park is set to bring epic indoor and outdoor water fun to Melbourne.
On the hunt for an out-of-the-box water experience? This new aqua park might just be the spot for you. Set to bring the Southern Hemisphere’s largest indoor-outdoor water facility, get ready for SurfnPlay Aqua Park, due to open in Melbourne in 2024.
As part of a four-hectare development in Dingley Village, SurfnPlay boasts an epic array of indoor and outdoor pools and water sports spots to be enjoyed. Inside you’ll find 1.82 hectares of pools along with 1.3 hectares of slides and outdoor pools to explore. Plus, there’s even a huge beach pool boasting 1.8-meter waves to recreate a day in the surf.
But wait, there’s more! Inside SurfnPlay you’ll find an indoor wave room, water-jet powered slides (perfect for sliding your way up and down), a 250-meter’ lazy river’ and so much more. It’s set to be the perfect spot for all, with spots to get your adrenaline pumping or kick back and float your way through the afternoon.
This project has been a long time in the making. In fact, SurfnPlay Aqua Park first submitted their initial plans to the City of Kingston council back in early 2019. Now, the team is applying for final approval with construction expected to kick off with 12 months of receiving the green light to begin.
This isn’t the first manmade water park of its kind to hit Melbourne. In fact, you might have already been to the Funfield heated wave pool or the epic surf park Urbnsurf (which opened in January 2020).
