North Bondi Fish, the seafood lunch spot at the top of Bondi Beach that turns into an afternoon
North Bondi Fish is Matt Moran's seafood restaurant, sitting at the top corner of Bondi Beach with front-row views of the water. Fresh, light and uncomplicated seafood cooked on the Inka Grill, a balcony made for people-watching, and a bottomless weekend lunch that earns its reputation as one of Bondi's best long afternoons.
The menu changes with what's fresh and what's in season, with the kitchen working with local suppliers to keep things honest. Oysters from Port Stephens, market fish cooked simply and well, sashimi, crab sliders and fish tacos sit alongside more substantial plates for those staying longer.
The Bondi Bottomless runs every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm, with a seafood spread of salted fish fritters, baked scallops with XO butter, Hibachi market fish skewers and calamari and chips, alongside unlimited house beer, wine and prosecco for 90 minutes. A cocktail upgrade adds the Classic Margarita, Spicy Margarita with Patrón Silver and seasonal spritz to the mix. DJs play every weekend, the balcony catches the afternoon sun and a lunch that starts at noon has a way of becoming dinner.
