This April, a stylish new Greek dining experience is taking up residence at Sydney’s most iconic beach.
Adding to the ever-growing list of reasons to stay in the Bondi-bubble, the team behind Sydney’s Shell House have opened a stylish new venue in the city’s much-loved Eastern Suburbs.
Topikós Dining Room & Bar will offer diners fresh, modern Greek fare that perfectly captures modern Greek dining. Opening just ahead of the Easter long weekend, Topikós – or ‘local’ in Greek – will satiate the tastebuds of foodies looking for a brand-new destination that fuses substance with style.
With an all-star squad bursting with culinary talent, the team will really flex their culinary and wine muscles. The menu perfectly balances the best of contemporary Greek cuisine with Australian influence, produce and honest simplicity. With a tasty offering that draws inspiration from the many islands of Greece and the colour and vitality of the Mediterranean, it will no doubt breathe new life into Bondi’s bustling foodie scene.
Culinary director, Joel, says: “We’re staying true to Greek cuisine, calling on traditional recipes, cooking techniques and flavours, combined with incredible Aussie produce we’re presenting our contemporary take on classic Greek dining. At the heart of the menu are the essentials; an olive oil program and house made pita, a simple base to build out our menu from.”
Need more convincing? The menu boasts a contemporary take on traditional Greek style platters and gyros featuring a stunning selection of seafood and meat. Other dishes are set to include Saganaki Split King Prawns on the grill with lemon, garlic and olive oil; and wood fired octopus with fried white bait, feta and sweet pepper filo pie.
Add into the mix a top-notch wine menu, a colourful cocktail bar and a vibe that embraces the bohemian spirit of Bondi, and you’ve got yourself an unmissable slice of the Mediterranean life overlooking one of the city’s most dazzling waterfronts.
Topikós Dining Room & Bar is located at 180 Campbell Parade, Bondi and will open its doors on Thursday, 14th April.
