A Luxe New Italian Restaurant Is Opening at Rose Bay Marina This July

/ 17 May 2026

Rose Bay Marina is set to welcome a glamorous new addition this winter, with the launch of Riva, a refined Italian restaurant inspired by the timeless elegance of classic Riva yachts.

Opening in late July, Riva is the more elevated of two new venues from SRG Hospitality, the group behind some of Sydney’s most iconic waterfront dining destinations. Designed to channel mid-century Mediterranean glamour, the space features polished mahogany timber, scalloped dining chairs and a sun-washed palette of soft blues, terracotta and honeyed timber.

At the helm is head chef Manuel Bellanti, whose menu celebrates the simplicity of traditional Italian cooking using premium Australian produce. Pasta is the hero, with an in-house pasta program and a standout dry-aged risotto expected to become signature dishes. Also not to be missed is Bellanti’s family porchetta recipe, perfected over more than 40 years.

The drinks list follows suit, with Italian regional wines, Australian expressions of Italian varietals and a cocktail menu built around Italicus, amaro, vermouth and grappa.

Sitting directly below Riva is Ripples Rose Bay, opening in late June. The relaxed all-day venue will serve contemporary Australian fare, from morning coffee through to long lunches and waterfront dinners, with generous share plates, seafood and a strong focus on local wines.

Together, the two openings mark SRG Hospitality’s biggest expansion to date, bringing both casual and elevated dining to one of Sydney Harbour’s most beloved waterfront locations.
