From May 5th to 26th, SoCal is transforming into a haven of Mexican revelry. The festivities kick off with a bang on Cinco de Mayo itself. Picture a lively Sunday session filled with the infectious energy of live music, flowing $15 margaritas courtesy of Olmeca Altos, and, of course, an abundance of delicious tacos. A dynamic duo and DJ Rayn will keep the party atmosphere going, while a surprise Mariachi band adds an extra layer of cultural flair. Walk-ins are welcome, but bookings are recommended to ensure you don’t miss out on the vibrant atmosphere.

But the celebrations don’t stop there. Throughout May, SoCal is serving up a smorgasbord of exciting events, each designed to bring the flavours of Latin America to the Lower North Shore. Taco Tuesdays become even more tempting with $4 tacos, while Happy Hour transforms into a prime time to indulge in both delectable bites and refreshing $15 margaritas.

For the brave at heart, the annual Chilli Eating Competition offers a chance to test your mettle against the fiery heat of progressively hotter chillies. There’s also a Dinner and a Show night, promising an evening of entertainment alongside a delectable meal.

• Happy Hour Delights: From 5 pm to 6:30 pm, Monday to Friday throughout May, Happy Hour takes on a Mexican twist. Enjoy $15 margaritas alongside delectable bites, transforming your after-work wind-down into a mini south-of-the-border escape.
• The Fiery Challenge: Chilli Eating Competition: Do you have a penchant for the fiery? Put your taste buds to the test on a designated Thursday in May at the annual Chilli Eating Competition. Can you handle the progressively hotter chillies and emerge victorious?
• Taste of Mexico: Dinner & A Show: For just two nights during the fiesta a curated banquet menu alongside a live Mexican dancing show will transport you to the streets of Mexico.
