The crew from Darlinghurst’s Simply Hummus bar are heading to Bondi for an unmissable pop-up event.
One of life’s simple pleasures is digging into a fresh tub of hummus. Whether you dive in with a box of crackers in hand or opt to pile a few scoops onto an epic salad, hummus is arguably the supreme leader of all the dip varietals. And we won’t judge you if you choose to tackle a tub with just a spoon in hand (we’ve been there too).
In great news for hummus lovers, an epic pop-up bar has just launched in Bondi celebrating everyone’s favourite chickpea spread. For one-month-only the team from Darlinghurst’s Simply Hummus bar is heading to Bondi’s Up South cafe for a takeover event not to be missed. Head to this Bondi Road spot every Wednesday to Saturday night throughout February to experience a delicious Israeli-style snack menu celebrating the delicious dip that is hummus.
For those not already familiar with the venue, Simply Hummus Bar launched in the heart of Darlinghurst in 2019, serving up Israeli eats plus the oh-so-popular all-you-can-eat hummus deal for $23. Serving up endless bowls of flavourful hummus and pita bread, Sydney diners have fallen in love with this hole-in-the-wall vegan eatery. And now, the crew are expanding their offering to the shores of Bondi for this limited edition pop-up bar.
The Simply Hummus Bondi Pop-Up will open from 5:30pm-9:30pm Wednesday to Saturday until the end of February. On the menu, you’ll find the bar’s signature hummus alongside copious quantities of pita bread as well as crispy falafel bites. But the snacks don’t end there, with the pop-up also serving up whole roasted cauliflower topped with tahini, herbs and almonds along with fried cauli bites, grilled peppers and a bowl loaded with all of the above.
