From Japanese Feasts To Fresh Pastas! North Sydney’s Got A New Dining Destination

Who says North Sydney is just for suits?

North Sydney office workers and residents, rejoice! Lunchtime just got a whole lot more interesting. A brand new hospitality precinct is set to open its doors on Walker Street in mid-June, bringing a vibrant mix of eateries and providores to the neighbourhood.

This exciting venture comes courtesy of Etymon Projects, the group behind favourites like Poetica bar + grill and Loulou in Milsons Point. Recognising a growing desire for more diverse dining options in North Sydney, especially with the upcoming arrival of the Metro station, they’ve curated a precinct that caters to a range of tastes and occasions.

Craving contemporary Japanese? Look no further than Genzo. This sleek eatery promises to tantalise taste buds with an emphasis on kushiyaki (skewers) and raw dishes, all complemented by a tempting selection of sake. The moody ambience sounds perfect for an intimate evening out.

For a more casual vibe, Soluna takes inspiration from LA’s relaxed dining scene. Open all day, this spot promises an approachable menu featuring seafood, pasta, and grilled options, perfect for a catch-up with friends over drinks or a family gathering with its dedicated lounge area and spacious dining room.

Those who love a freshly baked croissant or a delicious lunch sandwich won’t be disappointed. Sol bread + wine will be a one-stop shop, transforming from a bakery to a cafe and then into a wine bar throughout the day.

Food lovers will find a haven in Una, a providore similar to Etymon’s Loulou venue. Expect to discover a curated selection of house-made and sourced artisanal produce – think cheeses, cured meats, fresh pastas, pantry staples, and even a homewares edit. It’s a great place to find a special gift or elevate your kitchen style.

With its focus on quality produce, diverse dining options, and convenient location, this new precinct has the potential to become a popular destination for both North Sydney locals and visitors from across the city.

North Sydney’s new hospitality precinct will open at 168 Walker Street, North Sydney in mid-June 2024 — stay tuned to us for more updates.
