To celebrate its 4th birthday, Goros is bringing back its party brunch along with a month-long series of festivities.
For anyone who loves a late-night boogie, this next destination will be no stranger of yours. Tucked away in the backstreets of Surry Hills, Goros has been a beloved haunt for punters looking for a good time. It’s a casual Japanese-inspired bar decked out with arcade games, DJs, free karaoke and all the gyoza, yakitori and bento boxes your can muster. Plus, their stellar line-up of sake and cocktails have been a favourite among Sydneysiders for years.
And this month, Goros is saying cheers to it’s 4th birthday with 31 days of celebrations. Coinciding with Dewar’s Highball Month, you’ll find 5 delicious whiskey highball creations made using Dewar’s 12 old whisky on the menu all month long. To complete the experience, Goro’s Head Chef Michal Vana has also curated a menu of bar snacks to match each drink. Sample their Blossom Highball with aromatic tonic alongside a spicy pork belly yakitori or try a Sour Yuzu Highball paired with grilled cabbage and shitake cream.
In the mood for a party? Head along to Goros on Saturday, 12th October to enjoy the Party Brunch. This boozy brunch will feature a decadent Japanese feast complete with dumplings, gyozas, BBQ buns and bao plus sushi and sashimi for just $75 per person. To wash it all down, your ticket also includes 90 minutes of bottomless drinks, including a selection of Dewar’s Japanese Highballs. To keep spirits high, you’ll be able to sing your heart out with endless karaoke and arcade game tokens, with DJs hitting the decks all day long.
And the celebrations kick on all month long, with Goros’ Birthday Week (28th October to 2nd November) boasting an almighty 6-day birthday bash. Stop by on 28th October for $1 gyozas, join their ultimate pop culture trivia night on 29th October or battle it out in their wild and whacky eating competition night on 30th October. Celebrate Halloween at Goros Harajuku Party on 31st October and mark your calendar for 2nd November to join the official Goros 4th Birthday Bash. Phew, talk about a big line-up of events!
