Introducing Esquire drink + dine, a new late night haven to arrive to the CBD.

The CBD is hot hot hot right now when it comes to new restaurant and bar openings. Westfield Sydney’s rooftop is about to get a hefty dose of Middle Eastern and Cantonese flair with Babylon and Duck & Rice courtesy of Mantle Group. Then word got out that the QVB was also getting not one, but two new late night spots thanks to Trippas White Group. We introduced Reign, and now we’re bringing your attention to Esquire Drink + Dine.

Situated upstairs from the new Champagne parlour and bar, Esquire is the latest decadent drinks and dining spot bringing with it a whole new level of luxury to the QVB. Opening on Thursday 28th March, Esquire takes its cues from a New York supper club, complete with reimagined modern-Australian comfort classics alongside an array of the world’s best spirits and hand-crafted cocktails. Like its downstairs neighbour, Esquire is accommodating Sydney’s night owls, staying open until 2am from Thursday to Sunday and until midnight during the rest of the week.

Fit out in plenty of dark oak with mosaic and parquetry flooring, soft leather seating and low lighting, a visit to Esquire is destined to be a sensuous experience. Start at the bar and whet your appetite with one of the 100-plus wines, whiskeys and cocktails on the menu. As for the food list, you’ll find an array of smaller plates including crumbed sweetbreads ($22), fire roasted peppers ($19) and antipasti ($34). From there enjoy a dedicated jaffle menu plus larger plates including squid ink maccheroni ($34), Sirloin Riverina Angus ($43) and more.

Hailing from Modena in Italy, sommelier Fabio Nistrio (ex-Sokyo The Star and Bambini) has created bespoke drink menus showcasing drops from both big houses and lesser-known producers. Executive Chef Damien Worthington (ex-QT Hotels and The Winery) has pulled his hatted experience through the menus at both venues, crafting each dish to match Nistrio’s Champagnes and wines.

“We’re honoured to launch Reign and Esquire in the QVB. From market, to art school, to one of the city’s best shopping spots, and now a late-night dining venue, the opening of Reign and Esquire will be a true renaissance of this historic building,” said Matthew Beaumont, Group General Manager of Beverage.
