Part pizza bar, part boogie den, Dr Goodes is bringing New York slices, spicy margs and a soundtrack worth staying out for.
Oxford Street’s revival continues with the arrival of Dr Goodes, a new music-led bar in Paddington that blends quality pizza, tap cocktails and late-night dancing under one very groovy roof. Taking over the former El Primo Sanchez site, the venue is the latest project from a team of Sydney hospitality veterans, with Head of Beverage Brandon Martignago (Dulcie’s Kings Cross) helping shape the drinks list and overall concept.
By day, it’s a laid-back spot for New York- and Roman-style pizzas, easy-drinking cocktails and after-work catch-ups. But as the evening unfolds, the lights dim, the DJs turn it up and the venue transforms into a full-fledged boogie lounge. Expect a rotating lineup of local selectors, a dancefloor tucked out the back and enough disco energy to keep Oxford Street buzzing well into the night.
