Clay Sydney Goes Live In Lockdown

Play, Sydney / 28 June 2021

Get crafty in lockdown with a live clay session hosted by Clay Sydney.

If there’s one thing Sydneysiders have got good at during lockdown, it’s keeping themselves entertained. From DIY home projects, mastering Tik Tok recipes like the vodka pasta trend and picking up cocktail skills in live stream sessions, we have collectively shared hundreds of fun ways to keep us all sane in lockdown.

This time around, Clay Sydney is teaching you how to make pottery by hand with a virtual clay session. Learn from the best in the biz and give yourself something to look forward to this lockdown. With pottery making a trendy comeback over the last few years, there’s no better time to master the art. Here’s all you need to know…

The live stream will run at 7:30pm on Friday, 9th of July (by then, we should all be well and truly ready for some fun). The Clay Sydney tutors will be running their most popular class, Wine and Clay Nights, which is categorized by drinking lots of wine, having a laugh, and of course, making a sculpture out of clay. All you have to do to participate is purchase the Clay-at-home Kit to be delivered to your door, order your favourite bottle of vino, and convince your household to get involved. If you can’t make the time, the kit includes instructions and on-demand videos that you can use later on. We hate to say the lockdown buzzword, but you could even Zoom your friends in and have your own private Wine and Clay Night.

What’s in the kits? The kits hold everything you need to create your own mug, planter, vase, or whatever your heart desires. Choose from three sizes starting at just $55, depending on what you want to create and how many pottery lovers are in your household. The kit will also include the glazing and firing of items at one of their three inner-west locations (once their doors are back open). The best part is there are no hidden surprise costs to finish your work, it’s all included.

Got kids? Grab a few kits to get you through the school holidays.

We suggest opting to have your kit couriered, or contact-free pick up from their Enmore location if you’re able to.
