Melbourne Cup Catering Options
In celebration of the race that stops the nation, The Catering Department have compiled an enticing Melbourne cup menu! You’ll find crowd pleasers like their signature mini sliders, available in chicken schnitzel, ketsu aioli, slaw or alternatively corn cake, capsicum and pesto ($4.90 each). If you’re looking for a share style experience, it’s hard to forgo their platters to share. The ploughman’s platter comes with all the good stuff, including glazed double smoked leg ham, smoked king island cheddar, chipotle aioli, dijon mustard, dill pickles and mini rolls. With each platter you also have the option of opting for either a small and large sizes.
On the menu are also an assortment of fresh and light options, such as the mini rice paper rolls. Combinations include tofu, shimeji mushroom and fresh herbs, prawn and vietnamese herbs as well as poached chicken ($3.90). Looking for something sweet? Be enticed by their signature chocolate walnut brownie ($4.50). House-made healthy bliss balls ($3.60) and seasonal fruit platters, served with honey and cardamon syrup, are also there draw in the signature office health-nuts.
The Catering Department pride themselves on offering an individually tailored approach, where menus can be suited to your theme, workspace, client and budget. Led by Brendan Lloyd and Sonia Stanojevic, this duo bring over 25 years experience in the catering industry to the business. Not only are these guys committed to feeding Sydney’s corporates well, they are also environmentally savvy. Deliveries are packaged in recycled and biodegradable display boxes, with minimum fuss.
