Take your routine office Christmas dinner to a new smokey dimension this festive season, courtesy of smoked meat lords BlackBear BBQ. Since first opening in August 2018 following the success of its Blacktown restaurant, BlackBear BBQ EQ in Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter has impressed meat lovers with its open-air restaurant and authentic, artisan-created smoker.
With three ex-tradies at the helm, BlackBear BBQ embodies all that Aussies love about getting together with friends and family over a good ol’ barbecue.
This festive season, head down to find Low and Slow food and drinks packages, guaranteed to satisfy the whole team. Get involved in a range of tailgate games including cornhole tossing and giant beer pong plus a Pitmaster Masterclass. The Pitmaster Masterclass will reveal insights into seasoning, the origins of the barbecue and exactly how to cook low ‘n slow. You will also get a tasting platter of each of the menu items to add yum to this class.
On the BlackBear feast menu ($40pp), you can expect classic meats with sides to match. Think sliced pork belly and brisket, chicken wings, chicken Maryland, kettle chips, mac & cheese, BBQ beans plus BBQ and Chimchurri sauce.
For those looking for added extravaganza at their Christmas party, you can also opt for the Pit master’s choice. For only $55pp, guests will enjoy a selection of sliced pork belly and brisket, chicken Maryland, chicken wings, jalapeño and cheese sausages, pork ribs, beef short ribs, slaw, kettle chips, mac & cheese, BBQ beans, sweet potato with BBQ & Chimichurri sauces. Cue heavy breathing and definitely BYO comfortable pants!
On the drinks front, BlackBear BBQ are serving up a variety of beverages to keep the whole team refreshed. Think tinnies on ice – 1/4 Slab $45, 1/2 Slab $80, Full Slab $150. If tinnies aren’t your style, you can otherwise opt for the 1.5hr drinks package, which includes flowing beer, wine and soft drinks for $30pp.
Alternatively, you can pay as you go from the bar, with a selection of beer, wine and soft drinks available.
To keep the celebratory spirit high during your event this festive season, BlackBear BBQ EQ also offers live blues and the best of American music performed by upcoming Australian talent every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

BlackBear BBQ EQ is open to the public Friday through to Sunday, with group/ function bookings available all week. Opening hours are Friday: 6pm-9pm, Saturday: 12pm-9pm and Sunday: 12pm-4pm.
Function bookings for Monday – Thursday have exclusive use of the venue and are subject to a minimum spend.
