Belles Hot Chicken Is Turning Up The Heat In Bondi

Eat, Restaurants, Sydney / 8 August 2023

Fresh from the success of their flagship venue in Circular Quay, Belles Hot Chicken is making waves beachside.

This October, they’re bringing their bustling energy, delicious drinks, and legendary fried chicken to a new diner and bar at Bondi Beach.

Nestled in the former Fonda Mexican space on Hall Street, Belles is set to shake up Bondi’s dining scene with their signature vibes and unbeatable fare. The venue is undergoing a complete transformation, drawing inspiration from 1970s American beachside diners.

Joss-Jenner Leuthart, Managing Director of Belles Hot Chicken, sums it up perfectly: “Comfort food, great booze, and tunes just steps away from Australia’s iconic beach – it’s a match made in heaven.” After the triumphant launch of their Circular Quay flagship, taking over Fonda’s iconic spot for their new home was a no-brainer. Belles promises a space to unwind, indulge, get messy, or simply chill, and Bondi Beach seems like the natural playground for this experience.

In 2014, Belles Hot Chicken was born from the creative minds of fine-dining chefs Morgan McGlone and Aaron Turner. Their time in Nashville introduced them to the magic of hot chicken, a taste that was simply too good not to bring back home to Australia. Belles aims to be more than just a restaurant – it’s a lively hangout where friends gather for mouthwatering hot chicken, paired with cold beers or natural wines, all while grooving to great tunes.

Belles has always exuded a party atmosphere. With vinyl spinning, lights dimmed, shots poured, and a disco ball gleaming, Belles is all about indulging in life’s simple pleasures with good company.
