Gin Lane Chippendale, Sydney's most committed gin bar, is hiding in Kensington Street
Gin Lane Chippendale is a 1750s London-inspired gin bar on Kensington Street. With over 300 varieties on the shelf and a team that knows how to pour them, it earns its reputation as one of Sydney's best gin destinations.
Gin Lane is named after William Hogarth's iconic print and built around one mission: making a convert of anyone who says they don't like gin. Known for their theatrical cocktails and ever-changing themed drinks menus, Gin Lane is led by cocktail expert, British-born Grant Collins.
Their brand new food menu, curated by renowned chef Nelly Robinson (also a Brit), leans hard into the British theme and earns its place. Crumpets with smoked honey butter, a pork pie with HP sauce mayonnaise, fish and chips with tartar sauce and peas, oysters with apple and gin and elderflower snow, and a very popular 16-hour cooked lamb shoulder on Sundays.
