Mosman's The Fernery Has a Dedicated Rosé Bar

Bars, Drink, Sydney / 6 December 2017

Summer has arrived and so have those rosé rooftop sessions at The Fernery.

As spring rolls into summer, we officially say goodbye to cosy hidden bars and hello to rooftop sessions with a glass of chilled wine in hand. The Fernery has certainly hopped on the bustling summer bars bandwagon, with doors officially opening on 1st December.
Situated in the heart of Mosman atop the Mosman Club, The Fernery positions itself as a green oasis, offering sweeping views of Sydney Harbour from its very own rooftop bar. This new venture is the brainchild of John Tully and Luke Heard – the duo behind The Greens North Sydney and Acre Eatery in Camperdown. What you’ll find here is a similar open plan feel, taking much of its inspiration from France with its suspending indoor plants and spiral staircase that flows into a chic gin room, offering views of North Head. From here you’ll find a spacious indoor dining room that flows onto an outdoor terrace with a greenhouse inspired feature space.
Now more on that dedicated rosé bar. Here you’ll find a selection of seasonal wines on rotation, with some coming straight from the barrel. Cocktails incorporate a selection of herbs foraged straight from the rooftop garden, which encircles the rosé bar. For lovers of gin, The Fernery also has a separate gin room featuring locally crafted Australian distillers.
Moving onto the food menu, Head Chefs Gavin Gray and Mitchell Davis are bringing with them a slice of modern Australia. With many dishes designed to share, it’s all about enjoying a selection of locally sourced produce, cooked on a traditional josper wood-burning grill.
