Pop-up cinemas reach new heights with monthly open air rooftop cinema screenings at The Rook.
Outdoor cinemas are all the rage during the warmer months in Sydney, but have you ever stopped to think how an open air rooftop cinema session would fare? Cocktails? Check. Popcorn? Check? Epic rooftop cinema screens? Check. Sydney’s beloved rooftop bar and restaurant The Rook are hopping on the pop-up cinema bandwagon, with the launch of an exciting new venture. Introducing Monthly Monday rooftop cinema sessions.
After sell out sessions in January and February, The Rook are returning on Monday 5th March for the third session of The Rook Open Air Rooftop Cinema. As for the feature film, cinema buffs can expect none other than The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Tickets are just $30 and include a complimentary cocktail on arrival with presentation of your ticket, pre-show entertainment and popcorn. If you’re looking for a more substantial pre-film feed, you can also join The Rook before the film for dinner. If you haven’t dined at The Rook before, expect mouth watering delights like burgers, lobster rolls, truffle fries and antipasto. To wash it all down, you can also expect limited edition Rocky Horror Picture Show themed cocktail specials – available for purchase throughout the night. If that tipple doesn’t take your fancy, The Rook are also renown for their killer cocktails and broad range of beers and carefully curated wine list.
