Keg & Brew

Keg & Brew holds one of Surry Hills' best corner positions, just up the road from Central Station in a heritage-listed building with a long history as a Sydney pub. Formerly known as the KB Hotel, the venue underwent a significant multi-million dollar refurbishment before relaunching as Keg & Brew, bringing a Southern American, craft-beer-and-bourbon energy to a building that's been part of the neighbourhood for generations.

The layout spans four levels, giving the venue real range depending on the mood. Downstairs, the ground floor public bar keeps things properly old-school, pouring an eclectic mix of craft and mainstream brews across dozens of the venue's 50 taps. Head up top and the open-air rooftop takes over, with its own bar, a wood-fired pizza oven and a giant screen for catching the game, all under sweeping views across the city skyline. In between sit two more levels of function space, ready for birthdays, work parties and private celebrations.

The food leans into classic pub comfort with a few standout additions, think Duck Spring Rolls and a comforting Beef & Guinness Pie alongside the usual schnitzels, burgers and parmis, all served across every level of the venue. Weekly specials rotate through the classics, paired with rotating cocktail deals to keep pub nights interesting.
