House of Bungalow, all day and well into the night

Tucked inside the heritage Schweppes Building on Foveaux Street, House of Bungalow is a Surry Hills precinct from Bungalow Collective that stacks a café, a Spanish inspired restaurant and a late night club lounge under one roof. Come for a morning coffee, stay for dinner and end up downstairs on the dance floor.

Most venues pick a lane. House of Bungalow takes three. The Restaurant on the ground floor is led by chef Gianni Moretto, who most recently ran the kitchen at Morena and launched Uma in Perth. His menu is Spanish at heart, with Asian technique and Australian seafood in the spotlight.

Downstairs, Below is a club lounge with a different DJ sound every night it opens.

The Café handles mornings with coffee from The Grounds.

Because it all sits in one building, a night out can start at lunch and finish at 3am.

Quick Bites

EAT: The Smoked Eel Gilda, a Basque pintxo reworked with Gordal olive, guindilla chilli and a Japanese kabayaki glaze.
DRINK: The Foveaux, a tropical mix of blanco tequila, spiced rum, mango, lime and chilli.
PLAY: Book a Friday or Saturday dinner and the Dinner Party kicks in from 8pm, with live roving entertainment through the restaurant. When the plates are cleared, head downstairs to Below and keep going.
