The expansive South Eveleigh digs will be pouring up carbon-negative beers and a consciously-crafted, vegan-friendly menu within the iconic Locomotive Workshop.
In a Sydney-first, Australia’s leading pub operator Australian Venue Co. (AVC) and one of the world’s largest craft beer bar operators, Scottish-born brand BrewDog, will open its doors to a collaborative drinking and dining destination Friday 2nd Dec. The huge new venue is set to become the Inner-West’s new favourite hangout, with space for over 900 patrons spread across an enormous indoor dining space, bar, and communal beer garden, housed within one of the NSW’s most significant heritage buildings. BrewDog’s corner of the Locomotive Workshop precinct has undergone a $3.2m fit-out that sees the building's rich history on display, with elements of creative modern expression expertly woven into the industrial style fit-out which features bold neon signs, alongside polished concrete floors, across a mix of seating options such as booths, low and high tables complete the unique heritage listed space. The bar is pouring up 40+ brews on tap, with a range of BrewDog’s carbon-negative and sustainably made beers from the brand's solar-powered Murarrie brewery and taproom. These will include everything from session-strength pale ales and lagers to imperial stouts and sours, plus ‘BrewDog & Friends’ guest beer tap takeovers will regularly feature creative collaborations with local breweries. On top of solar-powered beers, BrewDog's efforts towards sustainability continue into the food offering with a farm-to-table comfort food menu which is 50% plant-based – a welcome change of flavour to the usual pub-grub staples. Weekly specials even include 2-4-1 Vegan Mondays featuring 2-4-1 plant-based mains across all vegan and vegetarian meals every Monday.
Of course, BrewDog’s legendary burgers and wings will also be a highlight, with All You Can Eat Wings for $25 every Wing Wednesday.
