Après Harbour, alpine winter vibes on Sydney Harbour
Après Harbour at Pier One Sydney Harbour launches is bringing the ritual of alpine après ski to the waterfront. Firepits, faux-fur throws, a roaming s'mores cart, Wildbrumby Schnapps tasting flights and resident DJs on Friday and Saturday evenings, all against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour.Pier One has partnered with Wildbrumby Distillery, Australia's highest distillery and a familiar stop on the way to the Snowies, to build a schnapps program. The Pier Run features three flavours on a custom ski-tasting paddle: Sour Apple, Peach Nectar, and Butterscotch. The Summit Run goes deeper with six. Wild Brumby cocktails roam the floor, including the Bluebird with pear schnapps and cherry, the Devil's Cuts with spiced schnapps and tequila, and the Blackout with coffee liqueur, vodka and espresso.
Every weeknight from 5pm to 6pm, Schnappy Hour brings $18 Wildbrumby cocktails and $2 oysters. The food leans into alpine comfort: an Alpine Sharing Board with baked Driftwood Vacherin, roast potatoes and crudités, baked truffle mac and cheese and braised Wagyu brisket loaded fries. The S'mores Fire Cart roams tableside, flame-finishing marshmallows over artisan biscuits with a choice of toppings and sauces.
