Prepare to experience the world of Stranger Things at The Upside Down Bar this June in Sydney and Melbourne.

Can’t wait for Season Four of the hit Netflix show Stranger Things to drop? Neither can we. Luckily, we’ve found just the event to help tide you over until the next season of the cult show returns. It’s time to dig out your best 80s threads, acid-wash jeans and shoulder pads included, and get ready to step back in time at this immersive pop-up bar experience.

Say hello to The Upside Down Bar, a thrilling new pop-up bar taking over Australia’s major cities later in 2020. Coming to Melbourne and Sydney in June, the bar will take punters on a journey back to the 80s. Those familiar with the series will have a good idea what to expect from this bar concept, with this themed pop-up set to be kitted out in glowing lights and chilling upside-down interiors to help transport punters to the ‘Upside Down’.

But the 80s inspired action doesn’t stop with the interiors. In fact, those brave enough to enter this bar will be treated to screenings of classic 80s flicks, a selection of arcade games plus DJs hitting the decks all night long with nostalgic hits to get revellers moving. Plus, attendees will have options to take part in a “dark and dangerous mission”, the details of which will be revealed upon arrival.

This adults-only pop-up bar is set to deliver a series of Stranger Things-themed cocktails, all priced at a cool $10. Sample the ‘Eleven’s Eggo’s’ slushie (mixed with Angel’s’ Envy Bourbon, lemon, orange, cranberry and maple syrup) or why not try the ‘Demogorgon’ slushie cocktail (made with rum, blood orange and lime). Plus with craft beer on tap plus a selection of classic cocktails also available, you’re sure to find just to the tipple to suit your taste.

The Upside Down Bar will be popping up in Sydney on June 7th 2020 and Melbourne on June 14th 2020, coming to secret locations yet to be revealed. To find out more, click here.
