World Class Cocktail Festival Is Shaking Up Sydney

Bars, Drink, Sydney / 14 August 2022

World Class Cocktail Festival will see the world’s best bartenders, most colourful cocktails and never-seen-before collaborations held across Sydney’s most iconic venues.

Over nine booze-fuelled days, WCCF will highlight Australia’s best bars, and put world-class drinks under the spotlight across some of Sydney’s most beloved venues.

Quay, Bennelong and Shell House are amongst the hospitality veterans pouring up unrivalled cocktail experiences, one-of-a-kind events, unexpected pop-ups, and some seriously cool parties this year, and we can’t wait to take a sip of the action!

First up on the global stage, none other than the world’s most awarded bartender, Ryan Chetiyawardana aka Mr Lyan taking residence at Quay’s Green Room. Mr Lyan will transform Sydney Harbour’s most iconic restaurant into a sparkling whisky lounge in collaboration with his celebrated London bar – Lyaness. The bar and supper club will be serving up premium Johnnie Walker Blue Label cocktails alongside delicious and iconic eats prepared by the legendary Executive Chef Peter Gilmore. Taking over Shell House’s stunning Clocktower Bar is queen of cocktails, Norwegian bartender Monica Berg. Her master skills put her own bar, Tayēr + Elementary, at no.2 on the world’s best bars list, and now guests will be able to sip what all the fuss is about for a limited time at this CBD fave.

Festivities will flow across Sydney throughout the 9-day festival with activations popping up with a curation of unexpected experiences.

With hard rock heaven Frankies set to close in the not-too-distant future, now’s a great time to grab one last one for the road with a bold Bulleit and burgers pairing. For one night only, Frankies will be slinging a limited edition menu of legendary BBQ pizza alongside Bulleit Kentucky Mules and an epic night of live rock’n’roll karaoke, find out more here
