Duel with Wine at Game of Rhones

Drink, Events, Sydney / 7 June 2017

Mount your horse and pledge to the king, Game of Rhones is returning this June.

As we brace for the cooling evening frosts ahead, it is time to unite as lords and ladies for a march through Six Kingdoms. Already storming through Perth; Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney await Game of Rhones’ quest of 100 different wines.
Like its namesake, the finest drops of decadence will do battle for the affection of wine connoisseurs across the country at Game of Rhones. Sourcing sips from the noble Rhone Valley in Southern France, guests will divulge in grenache, shiraz, mourvèdre, and more.
Mastering their appreciation of the plentiful European region, guests will also indulge in the tastes from local wine rulers. Stretching from Australia across the Tasman to New Zealand and beyond, the rich flavours of Yarra Yering, Ministry of Clouds, Henschke, Shaw + Smith, Man O’ War, HEAD, and Yalumba will duel with the foreign produce. Who shall be proclaimed ruler of the vineyard kingdom?

Foraying into foreign ground over the Tasman Sea in Wellington and Auckland.
Running from 1pm until 6pm in every city, guests will need to prepare to withstand the lengthy duel ahead, with more than 100 wines on offer in each city. For those confident in their drinking abilities, Game of Rhones has arranged even more action.
