Australia’s top cellar doors are coming direct to the Inner West on this one-day-only Urban Wine Walk.
Whilst a trip around Australia’s best wineries in a single afternoon might seem like a daunting task, a much more relaxed afternoon will find you strolling through the best bars of the Inner West, sampling some of the nations top tipples in this carefully curated event. Now in their second wine-filled year, Urban Wine Walk invites you along to a one-day-only walking wine tour you wont want to miss.
Kicking off on Saturday 8th September from 12:00pm – 4.30pm, the streets, laneways and footpaths of Newtown, Enmore and Erskineville will come alive as the Inner West’s top venues open their doors. Your $60 ticket grants you entry into all participating venues, free wine tastings, a tasting glass and venue guide.
Head to Earls Juke Joint for a selection of Sigurd Wines (SA), followed by the Newtown Hotel for tastings from Clairault Streicker Wines (WA) and Gurdys for tipples supplied by The Lane Vineyard (SA). It’s from here you can stroll towards PG’s Newtown for Byrne Wines (VIC). Heading over to Erskinville, you’re able to bar hop between the likes of The Erko for Skigh Wine (WA) and The Hive Bar for a tasty vino courtesy of Whistler Wines (SA). With 12 bars offering 12 unique wine tasting opportunities, the choice is yours as to how you spend your afternoon. Feeling ambitious? Visit all 12. It’s from Sydney that Urban Wine Walk will be making its way around the nation, popping up in Perth on Saturday 15th September, then Adelaide on Saturday 6th October, Melbourne on Saturday 13th October, Hobart on Saturday 20th October followed by across the ditch in Auckland on Saturday 10th November.
