The Sydney Gin Festival will showcase 62 of Australia’s most exciting craft gin distillers and more than 300 boutique gins from Australia’s top crafters.
From Friday 28 – Sun 30 October, Randwick’s WINX stand will play host to the ultimate, botanical-lovers festival.
Pace yourself over a three-hour session, sampling world-class Gins from Australia’s top producers and meeting the distillers while enjoying a decadent range of gourmet treats prepared by the WINX Chefs.
Luminary distillers pouring their gin at the Festival include newcomers Hickson House Distilling Co. Hickson Rd Gins are setting the benchmark high for Australian-made spirits with ingredients sourced from around the continent and often, exclusively grown for the distillery. The gins are distilled in 800L copper pot stills and custom-made by local craftsmen in Griffith NSW. The range includes Australian Dry, London Dry and Harbour Strength and is showcased in-house through an adventurous cocktail menu that takes the classic Gimlet and Martini to new heights.
Also in the mix, is Snowgum Distillery, a boutique distillery based in Melbourne’s North, which creates small-volume, high-quality gins based on natural Australian botanicals. Despite only being on the scene since 2020, Snowgum has already racked up an incredible four international medals and six Australian gin awards! As well as tasting award-winning gins, and hands-on masterclass with a master distiller, one lucky attendee will go home with a gin prize at the end of class.
Next up on the Australia-wide botanical tour, South Melbourne is represented by Nosferatu Distillery. Born out of a love of Pimms, Campari and Gin, Nosferatu is laced with inspiration from film, art, literature, folklore, and culture, celebrating the spirit of innovation and labour to distil the finest gin possible. Nosferatu’s 3-hr masterclass includes insights into gin and food matching granting you the necessary skills to seriously impress your friends at your next dinner party.
You’ll also catch Prohibition Liquor Co, Kangaroo Island distillery, Cape Byron, Barossa Distilling, and multi trophy winners Archie Rose, Turner Stillhouse and Never Never Distilling. All G&Ts sampled at the event will feature delicious tonic mixers or Soda from Long Rays.
