With the weather warming up, Sydneysiders are flocking to the water to soak up the sunshine. And if you’re looking for the perfect location to kick back this weekend, you’ll want to flock to this next Barangaroo dining destination.
Complete with wrap-around, floor-to-ceiling windows, NOLA Smokehouse and Bar is the modern New Orleans-inspired eatery boasting breathtaking views over Jones Bay Wharf. And this spring, the venue has launched a new Sunday lunch offering to give diners a real taste of Southern hospitality. After the success of their all-you-can-eat meat Mondays, NOLA is bringing their smoked meats back as a firm fixture on their Sunday lunch menu.
Every Sunday from 6th October, NOLA’s Southern Sundays will deliver a revamped lunch menu, making this the perfect spot to round out the weekend. Kicking things off is their all-you-can-eat meat, serving up unlimited succulent smoked meats ($65 per person). And you’ll want to come hungry with the menu featuring Rangers Valley Black Onyx brisket, slow-roasted and hot-smoked pork shoulder, blackened organic chicken with Creole spices, free-range Milly Hill cold-smoked lamb and NOLA’s Andouille Cajun-spiced sausage.
Plus each diner can choose their favourite side to add on, with the likes of fries with sweet and spicy BBQ salt, Southern slaw or fried Brussels sprouts with blue cheese mayo and hot sauce to pick from.
To sweeten the experience, NOLA has just launched a new range of Southern-style Sweet Teas to quench your thirst during your meat-filled feast. Sip on flavours such as Decatur Sweet Peach Tea, 504 Spritz (mixed with sparkling wine, green tea, lemon, honey and a dash of mint) or even the Southern Breakfast Tea (featuring Buffalo Trace bourbon, English breakfast tea, lemon and apricot). Order over lunch or keep the fun going at the NOLA bar with water views and a refreshing cocktail in hand ($15 each).
After lunch, you can also enjoy a light sweet treat in the NOLA bar to sip a glass of Champagne Taittinger Cuvée Prestige and a classic Louisiana beignet for $25 (available Sundays only). You know where you’ll find us this weekend.
