An immersive Shutter Island cinematic experience is coming to Q Station

Cool Sh*t, Play, Sydney / 24 July 2019

The Quarantine Station will make for a suitably spooky setting for Beyond Cinema’s latest immersive cinematic experience.

Martin Scorsese’s 2010 thriller Shutter Island quickly developed a name for itself in the realm of bone chilling cinema. Bringing the fictitious film to the real world are interactive storytellers and film buffs Beyond Cinema, with their latest immersive experience. Working in collaboration with Sydney’s oh-so-spooky Q Station, The Shutter Island Experience kicks off in November 2019.

Your adventure starts at Circular Quay, where those foolhardy punters will hop on a ferry to Q Station. Known as one of Australia’s most haunted sites, you’ll quickly be transported to the Ashecliff Hospital in 1954. It is then your responsibility to help US Marshall Teddy Daniels (played by a Beyond Cinema actor) undercover the mystery behind missing patient Rachel Solando. With your hearts suitably racing, pupils dilating and bones rattling, you’ll then settle in the Q Station’s Hospital to watch the remainder of the movie.

Thankfully, a cash bar will be there for liquid courage, along with a food station to appease the fear-induced hunger pangs. At the end of your spooky adventure, you’ll then be taken back to Circular Quay via ferry. Back to safety and (relative) normality.

The Shutter Island Experience will be hosted on Sunday 17th November with various session times available. Tickets are $85pp + BF.
