Cafes, Eat, Sydney / 18 November 2019

If you’re strolling around Paddingtons leafy streets and looking for some wholesome lunch in between designer boutiques then Daily Greens is the perfect shopping reprieve.

Situated just off Oxford Street next to Orchard St on Glenmore Road, Daily Greens is a wonderful new addition to the Intersection hotspot. Enter the bright and airy restaurant and walk past the takeaway counter to an open and airy indoor courtyard. The décor and vibe are reminiscent of a trendy healthy LA eatery. With a tree dividing the dining area, plush white couches and marble tabletops, you can sit back, relax and have the ultimate comfy shopping break to refuel.

The wraparound windows and lush greenery just outside allows for the sunlight to stream in and enhance this little bustling dining area. With an intentional focus on local producers and seasonal ingredients, Daily Greens has created a beautifully balanced menu of nutritious food that is full of flavour. The focus is on simple nourishing bowls, featuring a selection of daily specials as well as DIY concoctions. At $17-$20 per bowl, it offers a great value lunch without sacrificing on the foods’ quality. With the rise of food intolerances and dietary requirements, they really do have something for everyone with a great selection of salads and dressings that cover nearly all preferences.

The menu is divided into hot and cold bowls. Think charred cauliflower with quinoa and will rocket topped with crunchy roasted almonds, orange and zesty red wine vinaigrette. Or on warmer days, you may want to go with the ‘Good Morning Vietnam’, a roasted sesame tofu bowl with raw corn, cucumber, shredded cabbage and spicy sunflower seeds with a tangy lime coriander vinaigrette.

On the DIY menu, your creation includes a protein (think salmon, chicken or tofu), veggies (think roasted carrots, charred broccoli, shredded cabbage or roasted cauliflower, dressing (zesty vinaigrette, avocado caesar or miso caramel), base (think mixed leaves, wild rice or quinoa), added crunch (think crunchy chickpeas, spicy mixed seeds or herbs) and add ons (think sliced avocado or halloumi).

To drink, they have a large selection of herbal teas, healthy lattes such as turmeric and matcha, local kombucha and freshly squeezed juice. Next time you’re in the area and looking for something easy, wholesome and satisfying, or even would like a bowl to go, head on over to Daily Greens.
