Petit Loulou, the much-anticipated French café patisserie from Etymon’s Loulou Bistro, Boulangerie & Traiteur, will officially open its doors at 1 Elizabeth Street, Martin Place on Monday 10th February.
And to celebrate, they’re giving away free croissants for five days straight.
Sydneysiders can grab a complimentary croissant with any coffee purchase from February 10th to 14th, kicking off at 6:30am each morning until sold out. Each day will feature a different viennoiserie, from the signature buttery croissant to pain au chocolat, pain suisse, and a special Valentine’s Day treat.
Nestled above Martin Place metro, Petit Loulou is set to become a go-to spot for those craving an authentic French pastry fix while on the move. The menu features a mouth-watering selection of viennoiseries, petite tarts, and savoury staples like rotisserie chicken baguettes, Niçoise salads, and their famous sausage rolls. Designed primarily for takeaway, the café also offers an alfresco seating area for those looking to savour the moment.
“We wanted to offer Sydney locals an authentic French experience, whether they’re returning guests or visiting us for the first time,” says Brendon Woodward, Loulou’s Head Baker. “Our ethos is to share the joy of traditional French baking with the city, and what better way to celebrate our new CBD location than with our signature croissants?”
And the Loulou expansion doesn’t stop there. In March, the 130-seat Loulou Bistro and Bar will open right next door, bringing Parisian-style dining with a cosmopolitan twist to the heart of Sydney. Echoing the relaxed elegance of Parisian and New York bistros, Loulou Martin Place will serve contemporary and classic French cuisine, with the menu taking inspiration from the South of France.
Petit Loulou joins Etymon’s growing hospitality portfolio, which includes Loulou Bistro, Boulangerie & Traiteur in Milsons Point, North Sydney’s Poetica, Sol Bread & Wine, and contemporary Japanese dining at Genzo, among others. But for now, the spotlight is firmly on Petit Loulou—so get in early, grab a coffee, and enjoy a free croissant before they’re gone!
