Following the announcement of an all-new neighbourhood Trattoria in the CBD – Palazzo Salato – the Love Tilly Group have also just expanded their popular pasta brand into the inner-west, where they continue to showcase their speciality of turning pasta into the main event.

In contrast to Fabbrica CBD, where customers can purchase pasta, wine, deli items, and sourdough to take home, the Balmain location will demonstrate a honed focus on the dining experience. 

Led by Head Chef Nikhil Bhanot and Scott McComas-Williams, the kitchen serves up a tempting array of dishes, including the classic spaghetti cacio e pepe, the flavourful casarecce alla Norma, and the indulgent sea urchin tonnarelli. Meat lovers will love the mafaldine with ‘nduja and prawns, while vegetarians can savour the artichoke fritti with Reggiano. Plus, don’t skip past the schnitzel: cotoletta alla Milanese – a nod to the building’s history with an Italian twist on an iconic pub classic.

To complement the pasta, the wine list showcases a range of minimal-intervention Italian wines and carefully selected Australian varietals. Expect skin-contact wines, chilled reds, and innovative global styles, all served up in a cosy and inviting atmosphere designed by Studio Vista’s Sarah Watt. The venue still retains its heritage charm, including the grand wooden bar, while adding a modern twist to the decor.
