Bondi Dog Day 2019

Play, Sydney / 15 May 2019

Spend a paw-fect Saturday at The Bucket List patting pooches at the Bondi Dog Day.

A day-long event dedicated to our furriest of friends is landing in sunny Bondi this Saturday and trust us when we say, it’s going to be wholesome. Hosted by Pound Paws, this inaugural Dog Day event is in partnership with The Bucket List & Waverley Council in Bondi Pavilion.

Kicking off this Saturday 18th May from 12pm-5pm, the Bucket List and Pound Paws will host over 20 different pet business stall holders. You and your four-legged companion can expect everything from Doggie Crystal Healing (not a joke), plus dog massages, dog grooming care, dog treats and food, as well as a kiddie’s corner for the little ones.

The Bondi Lifeguards will also make a coveted appearance, judging the Pound Paws Bondi Doggie Lifeguard Challenge, which involves dogs throwing on a life-saver jersey and completing a series of obstacles.

A competition for ‘Best Bondi Hipster Costume’ is your chance for you and your pooch to flaunt your best ‘Bondi’ look, the judging panel including Dr Kate Adams (Bondi Vet), Darren Palmer (The Block Judge), Tayla Damir (Love Island Australia Winner) and Drew Harrisberg.

Not only this, revellers will also be treated to live entertainment, ranging from educational vet chats, a Puppy Pool Party, Doggie Yoga, competitions, as well as a Rescue Dog Adoption Parade, where dogs available for adoption will strut their stuff on the dog walk. Cue high pitched animal squeals.

As if you needed another excuse to head down, entry to this event is free!

Pound Paws is an Australian based charity which provides a modern online approach to the re-homing of pets in Australian pounds & rescue centres. They operate via an online search engine which allows users to search for their dream pet in pounds and rescue centres across Australia.
