Barangaroo House Reopens With Epic Progressive Dining Experiences This Spring

Bars, Drink, Eat, Restaurants, Sydney / 31 August 2020

Barangaroo House is back with cheap eats deals and progressive dining experiences this September.

Barangaroo is one of Sydney’s best waterside precincts. Located in the heart of the city, Barangaroo has quickly solidified its place as a foodie destination, with plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants to explore (if you need some inspiration for where to visit, check out our guide to Barangaroo here).

And a visit to Barangaroo wouldn’t be complete without a tipple at the iconic waterfront venue, Barangaroo House. While the spot has been closed for the past few months, we’re thrilled to see the venue swing open its doors today (with the venue back in full swing from September 2nd).

The multi-level venue sees House Bar, BEA and Smoke return to their pre-COVID identities, with a new focus on approachable and playful dining for small groups from early till late.

The stellar team is back in action, with Executive Chef Tom Haynes driving the culinary vision for Barangaroo House (using a woodfire oven and cooking-over-coals a little more in the menus across all three levels). Plus Head Sommelier Georgina Larsson will be streamlining the wine lists with a focus of Aussie producers (and a monthly showcase of international drops) with Head Bartender Pauric Kennedy focusing on cocktails at Smoke along with small-batch, bottled recipes on all other floors.

And to celebrate Barangaroo House’s reopening, there are two exciting new experiences to take advantage of. First up is Barangaroo Bounce, a progressive drinking and dining experience taking place on Saturdays between BEA and Smoke.

The Bounce Up option starts at BEA for a two-course shared lunch before bouncing up to Smoke’s rooftop for afternoon Patrón cocktails and DJs. Or, flip it around at night for Bounce Down and begin the evening at Smoke before heading down to BEA for dinner. $89 per person for groups of 4-10 people. Find out more here.

Looking for something more casual? Head to House Bar for lunch any day of the week and devour a burger with chips and a schooner of 4 Pines or a salad bowl with a glass of Shaw + Smith Sauvignon Blanc for just $20. Talk about a delicious deal. Find out more here.

Barangaroo House returns this spring, with House Bar open from August 31st and BEA & Smoke open from September 2nd (bookings recommended). To find out more and book your spot, click here.
