Sugar Republic is back in Melbourne

Events, Melbourne / 18 February 2019

Celebrate all things sweet at the Sugar Republic pop-up at Myer Melbourne.

Just as Charlie couldn’t contain his excitement to visit Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory, Melburnians are equally enthusiastic as they rejoice the return of Sugar Republic.

Part sweet museum, part art exhibition, Sugar Republic celebrates all things sweet. This sugar-frosted pop up has 14 sensory rooms and will delight little and big kids alike.

Sugar Republic Neon Wall

Start you journey in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory before swinging care-free under the bananas. Reminisce about your childhood at an old school milk bar and admire the dazzling neon wall.

Channel your inner big kid and dive into the colourful giant ball pit, or jump out of a life size birthday cake. And be sure to have your camera handy to snap all the fun, bright rooms that pay homage to our favourite sweets. As you turn into each room, you can’t help but grin as you discover another wonderfully vivid display.

Sugar Republic Birthday Cake

And the best part? Along the way you can treat yourself to as much free ice cream and lollies as you want!

Halo Top ice cream will satisfy your cravings and is guilt-free at only 280 to 360 calories per tub. Or, indulge in old school favourites including Hubba Bubba, Wizz Fizz or a classic Arnotts bicky.

Sugar Republic Ball Pit

Whether you’re bringing your kids along or indulging in the nostalgia of some of the best things from your childhood, Sugar Republic is the ideal way to treat yourself. And it’s the perfect excuse to enjoy dessert first. As Willy Wonka said: ‘A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men.’

Sugar Republic is open daily from 10am. The night session from 6:30 pm are for adults only.
It runs from 10 February until 20 May 2019 at Myer, Bourke Street, Melbourne
