In a notable addition to Melbourne’s vibrant dining scene, the cherished Italian restaurant D.O.C has recently launched its seventh outlet.

This opening in the opulent Saint Moritz residences on The Esplanade aligns with the brand’s 20th anniversary. Originally a fixture on Lygon Street, D.O.C has consistently offered a blend of tradition and innovation, now bringing this winning formula to the southside with its new St. Kilda location.

EAT: A Taste of Italy by the Seaside

Embracing its heritage, the new D.O.C site merges classic charm with contemporary twists. The menu reflects today’s Italian dining trends, divided into three delicious categories: Antipasto, Primi, and Secondi. Highlights include the Campanelle pasta drenched in a rich Duck and Montenegro Ragu and the flavourful Beef Tagliata. The restaurant continues to serve beloved dishes such as the Pizza San Daniele and Spaghetti Al Pomodoro, all enhanced by the casual, seaside dining experience.

DRINK: Refined Sips to Complement the Bites

D.O.C’s drink offerings are as impressive as its food. The curated wine list emphasizes exquisite whites and sparkling varieties, perfect for pairing with the extensive seafood dishes. Cocktail enthusiasts will appreciate the crafted drinks menu, featuring the Spritz D.O.C and a meticulously mixed classic Negroni, ensuring every meal is both a culinary and a sensory delight.

PLAY: Relishing St. Kilda’s Vibrant Atmosphere

The decision to open in St. Kilda reflects D.O.C’s commitment to absorbing the local culture. This venue’s design features a semi-open kitchen and a chef’s bench, offering diners a close-up view of the culinary artistry. Outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy meals with a picturesque ocean backdrop, enhancing the dining experience with scenic views.

Celebrating Twenty Years of Italian Passion

The new D.O.C outlet in St. Kilda is a milestone, marking two decades of dedication to authentic Italian dining. Michael Costanzo, the D.O.C Director, and his team infuse this latest venture with a deep-rooted enthusiasm that D.O.C is known for, making every visit a memorable occasion. With a menu that spans from classic favourites to inventive new dishes, and a location that captures the essence of the beachside lifestyle, D.O.C St. Kilda is poised to become a culinary landmark for both locals and visitors alike.
