Sydney Fringe Festival Returns With Over 350 Shows This Spring
New South Wales’ largest independent arts festival is taking over the city again, and this year it’s bigger than ever. Sydney Fringe Festival kicks off on 29 August with Fringe Ignite!, a free street party turning Darlinghurst’s Stanley Street into a riot of live music, comedy, circus and dance, then keeps the momentum going with more than 350 events, 2,000 artists and 64 venues across six Sydney neighbourhoods through to 11 October. Expect everything from theatre and burlesque to family-friendly circus, First Nations storytelling through the Yalgali program, and Limitless, the festival’s dedicated d/Deaf, Disabled and Neurodivergent showcase. Whether you’re after a boozy cabaret lounge, a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired stage spectacle, or a giant balloon show for the kids, there’s a slot in the program for it. Note that all payments across festival venues are card-only.
