Surf and Sound Festival Takes Over Manly Wharf and Beach

Surf + Sound takes over Manly Wharf and Manly Beach from Friday 16 October to Sunday 1 November, bringing live music, art and surf to the Northern Beaches. It’s presented by DEFENDER and Felons, with World Champion surfer Joel Parkinson among its founders.

Gigs run at Felons Barrel Room across the three weekends, with doors at 7pm: The Whitlams (16 October), The Beautiful Girls (17 October), Skegss (24 October), Babe Rainbow (25 October), Kita Alexander (29 October), Skunkhour (30 October), Yolanda Be Cool (31 October) and GANGgajang (1 November). Winston Surfshirt closes the festival with a secret show at Manly Wharf on 1 November.

Beyond the music, a free art trail curated by Jeremyville and a live DEFENDER painting project fill Manly Wharf. The free Boardriders Competition hits Manly Beach on 31 October and 1 November.
