Sculpture by the Sea marks 30 years of transforming the Bondi coastline into a giant open-air gallery
Sculpture by the Sea returns to the stunning 2km Bondi to Tamarama coastal walk, marking 30 years since the exhibition first began. Widely acknowledged as the world’s largest annual free-to-the-public outdoor sculpture exhibition, it draws 450,000 Australian and international visitors each year to enjoy sculpture from local and international artists in a picturesque setting, marking the unofficial start of summer in Sydney. This year also celebrates a milestone for Japanese artist Keizo Ushio, who marks his 50th Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, having also shown more than 20 times at the sister exhibition on Cottesloe Beach and the former Sculpture by the Sea in Denmark.
