Japan StrEat Party Brings Japanese Food, Drink and Culture to Carriageworks
Japan StrEat Party takes over Carriageworks from Thursday 24 to Sunday 27 September, with four days of authentic Japanese street food, drink and culture across the precinct’s Bays 22-24, Bay 25 and Elston Room. Expect stalls run by experienced Japanese chefs and vendors serving up classic and modern street food favourites, alongside live performances, DJ sets and cultural experiences including Awa Odori, Japan’s 400-year-old dance tradition, performed locally by Tensui Australia Inc.
On the drinks side, Suntory Premium Malts headlines as the event’s main sponsor, alongside a wide selection of sake, non-alcoholic drinks and Japanese teas. Entry is free, making it an easy drop-in for foodies, anime fans or anyone curious to explore a different side of Japanese culture.
