Dark Side of the Beer Festival brings winter’s biggest beer celebration to the Inner West
Sydney’s inaugural Dark Side of the Beer Festival takes over the Inner West Ale Trail’s 15 breweries for four days of exclusive dark brews, surprise collabs and hot poker beers. Highlights include Bierstacheln (the German art of “beer poking,” where a red-hot poker is plunged into dark beer to caramelise the sugars). Plus tap takeovers, brewery tours, live music and DJs/ There’s also an Ale Trail fireside choir led by Elana Stone, roaming shanty performances from Shanty Club, and country line dancing classes.
