Gymea Village Festival, Where The Shire Comes Out To Play

The Gymea Village Festival is a free, all ages street party on Sunday, 25th October, with more than 250 stalls lining Gymea Bay Road. Around 50,000 people are expected, so come hungry and bring the whole crew.

Expect world food, from tanghulu and dumplings to charcoal grilled Malaysian satay, alongside independent distillers and brewers pouring local drops. Over 50 stalls are Shire businesses, so you can pick up ceramics, woodwork, handmade soaps and Portuguese tarts from the people who make them.

The Main Stage runs all day with school jazz, dance troupes, youth bands and local live acts. The Kids Zone is free and covers a petting farm, giant bubbles, puppet shows and craft, with stilt walkers, rides and carnival games roaming the street.

Gymea Hotel is the festival’s sponsor and keeps the day going with go karts, reptile shows, DJs and live music, including an all ages show to close out the afternoon.
