Moon Festival Brings Lanterns and Mooncakes to Darling Square
Moon Festival returns to Darling Square from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 4 October, marking the Autumn full moon with a two-week program of illuminated installations, live entertainment and free activities across the precinct. Guests can walk through the lantern installation, join free lantern decorating sessions and dancing workshops, and catch DJs and roaming performers, including Emperor Guan and the Moon Goddess, making it a solid pick for keeping the kids entertained these school holidays.
Food retailers across the precinct are marking the occasion with limited-edition menus, from Ilko Mazesoba’s Tsukimi-inspired dishes to new mooncake ranges at Bengong Black and Lilong by Taste of Shanghai. Elsewhere in Darling Square, YAYOI, XOPP by Golden Century, Kwang Jang Pocha and Dragon Hot Pot round out the festive dining options.
