Urban Wine Walk brings a Tassie Takeover to Chippendale’s coolest venues

Sydney’s favourite neighbourhood wine crawl is getting a distinctly southern twist. On Saturday 15 August, Urban Wine Walk returns with a special Tassie Takeover edition, transforming Chippendale into a self-guided tasting trail celebrating six of Tasmania’s standout winemakers. Hosted by Neighbourhood Events Co, the event invites 250 wine lovers to wander between six of Chippendale’s best-loved venues, meeting the makers and sampling more than 21 cool-climate wines along the way, from bright Pinot Noirs to crisp sparkling drops, all poured by the people behind the labels.

The lineup pairs some of Chippendale’s most popular venues with top Tasmanian producers: Abercrombie with Quiet Mutiny, Lord Gladstone with L’appel Wines, Sneaky Possum with Small Island Wines, The Chippo Hotel with Merriworth Wines, The Old Clare Hotel with Highclare Estate, and The Rose Hotel with Made by Monks. Your ticket includes complimentary tastings, a $10 food voucher to use at your nominated starting venue before 1pm, and a $25 wine voucher redeemable on event-day wine orders, plus your official wristband and keepsake tasting glass. Registration and collection opens at Lord Gladstone from 11am, with the walk itself running strictly 12pm–4pm. 18+ only.
