One of Sydney’s most picturesque venues, Centennial Homestead in the heart of Centennial Park is throwing a Melbourne Cup Day party for young and old. Everyone will enjoy a day of fun, complete with a two course meal and child-friendly entertainment.
For $75 per adult, following a glass of bubbles on your arrival, enjoy a two-course meal. Begin with entrees of salmon ceviche with avocado mousse or marinated slow cooked lamb ribs with spicy eggplant. For main, feast on your choice of miso glazed eggplant with parsnip puree, baked barramundi on pearl barley risotto, or a twice cooked chicken breast with black lentils. Finish with a dessert of ricotta cannoli with spiced pineapple, or chocolate ganache tart with raspberry coulis.
As you enjoy sweep stakes, live music and watching the races on the big screens, let you kids run free with organised lawn games. For $25 per child, kids will enjoy a lunch box and colouring in kit to keep them entertained.
Be sure that you and your kids come dressed to impress, as there will be best dressed prizes for for mums, dads and little ones.
