The Newsagency is Hosting a Spice Girls Sing-Along Party

Cool Sh*t, Play, Sydney / 17 January 2018

Spice up your life with a Spice Girls Singalong at The Newsagency this month.

Can you believe its been over 2o years since Posh, Baby, Sporty, Scary and Ginger first told us what they really, really wanted and what we really, really wanted? Their enduring fame is testament to their ability to conjure up catchy track after catchy track. It would seem their tunes aren’t favoured solely by 70s, 80s and 90s babies either, with all generations knowing and loving the Spice Girls name.
In celebration of their 20 year milestone, Sydney’s beloved live music venue The Newsagency is now hosting a special two-night singalong party. Running on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th January from 8:30pm-9:30pm as a part of its Sideshow Festival, it’s time to BYO hairspray, platform shoes and your most colourful crop top. The Newsagency is encouraging one and all to sing the entire album from start to finish. This will be done alongside a live band featuring five of Australia’s finest singers taking on ten of the 90s most memorable anthems.
Created and performed by Maeve Marsden, Libby Wood, Alison Avron, Benjamin Kiehne & Sepora, this is an hour of pure, unadulterated joy, nostalgia and girl power. Sold out for Sydney Comedy Festival, bookings are highly recommended.
General admission tickets cost $27.50, with Party of Five tickets available for $104.50.
If you thought it couldn’t get any better, why not grab yourself a discount by purchasing a ticket to the Britney Spears singalong whilst you’re at it.
