A Sparkling Wine Festival is Coming to Sydney!
Bolle Italia’s Sparkling Wine Festival is set to launch in October, where corks will be popping on Sunday 9 to Monday 10 October.
Dedicated to sparkling wines from all over Italy, this two-day festival is set to be hosted at the newly refurbished Bar Machiavelli in Rushcutters Bay. It will boast over 100 sparkling wines from Italian winemakers. Celebrating the terrains of Italy’s many regions, wines will have a unique flavour in every drop. Tickets will also be available for master classes ($27.50pp), where top sommeliers will teach you everything you need to know.
The festival will feature music and a specially designed menu full of authentic Italian flavours, coming to conclusion with a six-course degustation dinner ($140pp). Readers take note, this is an exclusive event as part of 2016’s Good Food Month! Inspired by the diversity of Italy’s vineyards, it will feature eleven of the best sparkling Italian wines. These will be paired by a menu designed by Bar Machiavelli’s owner and chef, Paola Toppi. The menu favours traditional Italian flavours, including white truffle and porcini mushrooms. Opera singers and musicians will play live music to create an authentic atmosphere.
Sunday 9 October is the first and main day of the festival. First up at 11am is the master class on Prosecco. Later in the afternoon why not try the La Dolce Vita master class. Learn about Italy’s Moscato and sweet wines. Monday 10th is the degustation dinner.
