You’ll be hearing ‘I do’ a lot at the Handpicked Wines Wine Wedding, when guests are asked ‘would you like another Handpicked wine tasting?’
Handpicked Wines is celebrating the launch of its 2017 spring/summer new wine releases with their annual Wine Wedding returning to Sydney for one day only on 10th December. Kicking off in the vibrant in Kensington Street Precinct, Chippendale, they’ll be showcasing the debut of a new release rosé, made in partnership with Romance Was Born. This rosé is an unlikely marriage of two grapes – Pinot Noir and Marsanne. See what they did there?!
At this unique wine tasting event, Handpicked Wines wants you to celebrate all the good things about a wedding. That includes your expensive dress you bought but never wore again, dancing, cheese, cake and great wine.
With over 15 wines available to taste, begin your afternoon by sampling some drops from the standard range, travelling all the way up to some particularly special gems out of the cellar. Accompanying this will be a cheese and charcuterie grazing table, with cheeses from Occello. Did we mention that there will also be cake?!
It wouldn’t be a wine wedding without the all important frock. Guests are invited to look to part in their finest wedding-themed attire. Think everything from old wedding outfits to zombie brides, flower crowns and lady tuxedos. There will be prizes for best dressed, so make sure you look the part.
The Handpicked Cellar Door has been open for exactly one year, and so they will be using this occasion to celebrate their first birthday party. Important to Handpicked wines is also acknowledging the ‘Yes’ vote. This will be a fully inclusive event, with the team strongly looking forward to seeing legislation pass so that everyone in Australia has the right to marriage.
