Prepare your phone camera and Instagram captions, The Grounds of Alexandria is turning five.

One of Sydney’s favourite foodie destinations is turning five! Get your friends together and head to The Grounds of Alexandria to celebrate half a decade of deliciousness and surprises.
Since opening in 2012, The Grounds of Alexandria has become a local institution with more than 10,000 coffees sold every week. Open throughout the week, The Grounds has earned a reputation for being one of the cities most social media friendly eateries. From a petting zoo with a very well-feed pig, to three eating locations on site, this place has something for everyone. The team now also take time to support local lifestyle entrepreneurs, hosting homewares markets each weekend.
Booking in advance and long waits is something that comes with The Grounds experience, but now devoted followers will be rewarded with the help of some emerging homegrown musicians.
On Friday 21st April the team will mark the occasion by hosting a free public concert.

From 7pm DJ crew Soul of Sydney and electronic Thandi Phoenix will spunk up Alexandria with an intimate concert. Beneath the glittering fairy lit garden, these upcoming musicians will bring the enhancement to what promises to be a magical evening.
While absorbing the chilled tones and vibes in the garden, Pizza Silo will provide pizza fresh from the doors of the woodfired ovens. As well as local beers and wines, The Soda Barn will be pumping out their renowned cocktails all night. After opening night, music nights will be returning to the floor monthly. Just like The Grounds, each night promises to be something different.
The fifth birthday celebrations will continue soon after with the grand opening of The Grounds of the City in the CBD on Pitt Street later this year.
